Abstract:
Quantum fluctuation of electromagnetic vacuum has a significant impact on the sensitivity of advanced Laser interferometric gravitational wave detectors. In this talk, we are going to review the development of quantum measurement theory for gravitational wave detection and discuss the method on manipulating these quantum noise for improving the detector sensitivity.
