Polarization-entangled photon pairs is a simple system to demonstrate the quantum information science (QIS). In this talk, there are two topics. First I will introduce the polarization-entangled photon pair generation schemes by spontaneous parametric down conversion (SPDC) process. Second, I will briefly introduce the applications with such entangled source and our new idea to realize the bipartite high dimensional Bell-CGLMP inequalities with bipartite entanglement.
