Yu-Chieh (Jay) Huang

Ph.D. Student

He received his B.S. in Chemistry from National Kaohsiung Normal University and M.S. from National Taiwan Normal University. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Molecular Science and Technology Program (MST) at National Taiwan University. His research focuses on the catalytic microwave Boudouard reaction, system assembly, and electrochemical CO₂ reduction (EC-CO₂RR).

Septia Kholimatussadiah is a Ph.D. student from Department of Physics, National Taiwan University, under the supervision of Prof. Li-Chyong Chen and Prof. Kuei-Hsien Chen. She was a former master’s student at AML, working on thin-film solar cells growth, characterization, and fabrication. Her current Ph.D. research focuses on two-dimensional materials growth, functionalization, and investigation using atomic force microscopy-based techniques, particularly scanning electrochemical microscopy (AFM-SECM).

Sumangaladevi  Koodathil

Sumangaladevi Koodathil is a PhD student in Materials Science whose research focuses on the nano-electrochemical properties of two-dimensional (2D) materials. She synthesizes transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) single crystals using solid-state and chemical vapor transport methods, followed by nanoscale characterization with AFM-SECM and KPFM. Her work aims to understand the relationship between local electrochemical activity and surface potential in 2D materials.

Yu Chien Lee is a graduate student currently study in National Taiwan University (NTU) under TIGP-MST program. Her research interest are metal complex, DSSC, MOF, photocatalysis and CO2 reduction reaction. She is supervised by Prof. Kuei-Hsien Chen and Prof. Li-Chyong Chen.

Shao-Wei Lu is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Physics at National Taiwan University. His current research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of carbon nitride (C₃N₄)-based single-atom catalysts for electrocatalytic CO₂ reduction.

Tadios Tesfaye Mamo obtained his B.Sc. in Applied Chemistry from the University of Gondar and his M.Sc. in Environmental Science, specializing in renewable energy and climate science, from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He served as a biofuel expert at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum in Ethiopia. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from National Taiwan University and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Condensed Matter Science, National Taiwan University.

Omran  Moradlou

Omran earned his Ph.D. in Electrochemistry from Shiraz University in 2009. He then conducted postdoctoral research in Physics Department at Sharif University of Technology. In 2011, he joined Alzahra University as a faculty member, where he began his academic career focusing on energy and environmental science. His primary research interests center on renewable and sustainable energy conversion and storage. In August 2023, Omran joined the research group of Prof. Kuei-Hsien Chen at the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences (IAMS), Academia Sinica, as a visiting scholar.

Raha Shafieepour

Raha Shafieepour obtained her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Tehran. She is currently a researcher in the AML group, working under the guidance of Professors Lin and Chen. Her research focuses on the growth of thin-film carbon nitride for photocatalytic CO2 reduction, as well as density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

Received her M.S. degree (2019) in Chemistry, National Taiwan Normal University Taiwan. She is now a Ph.D. student at National Taiwan University jointly with Molecular science and technology program, Taiwan International Graduate Program, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. Her research focuses on 2D material for CO2 reduction reaction and hydrogen evolution reaction.

Eric Yang is an undergraduate student in the Department of Physics at National Taiwan University. His research focuses on charge-transfer processes in two-dimensional materials studied through time-resolved spectroscopic techniques.
